FEAST HERE: Colçatada Festival at Brindisa
To celebrate one of Spain’s more unusual traditions, Brindisa’s Head Chef, Josep Carbonell, has created a feasting menu centred around traditional Spanish vegetables, to praise the humble Catalan onion – the calçot. Spanish families come armed with bibs and jugs of wine to pay homage to this tasty veggie staple. Get into the festive spirit and enjoy plates of calçots with romesco sauce; classic Catalan white bean stew; whole grilled artichokes; roasted red peppers and a vegan crema Catalana, all washed down with copious porrons of red wine and cava. To celebrate Salon’s fifth birthday, five talented chefs are joining forces in Salon’s kitchen to create a supperclub to indulge the senses. This winter, Le Pont de la Tour will bring a taste of the Alps to the river Thames with their festive winter terrace, Le Lodge. Transformed into a magical Alpine Lodge, you’ll find everything from vintage ski poles and stag head wall mounts to sheepskin throws and furry blankets, which guests can curl up in to escape the cold. Pine cones and rustic logs will be scattered around to evoke the classic chalet looks, whilst chef Julien Imbert’s menu of indulgent winter warmers – think classic dishes of tartiflette with reblochon, lardons and caramelised onions and a selection of winter cocktails to warm the cockles – will provide an instant food fix.

London's biggest arts festival returns this January, and this year it’s bigger than ever with 300 individual shows, championing new writing, immersive experiences, comedy, film and late-night entertainment.
