Brixton Beach

With beach parties, barbecues, Ministry of Sound-inspired fitness classes and top-notch DJs spinning the decks from dawn till dusk., Brixton’s Havana-inspired beach resort is set to be the pop-up of the summer, promising sun, sand, Cuban cocktails and delicious street eats. There are weekly barbecues every Thursday, welcoming some of the best restaurants to the beach – including Mama’s Jerk and Negril – and July brings the colourful carnival vibes, to celebrate Cuba’s biggest holiday, Carnival de Cuba.

Who says you need to travel out of London in search of golden sands? Fulham’s first Thameside beach spot will play host to sun seekers over the summer. As well as sand and palm trees, there are beach huts and day beds available to rent with optional butler service – they’ll bring bespoke cocktails from the mixology trolley, so you won’t even have to leave your bed. For those watching the pennies, feel free to bring your own food and booze, but with the glut of mouthwatering street food stalls including Le Rac Shack, The Duck Truck and Taco Dave, you’ll almost certainly want to sling your sandwich in the bin.

Pergola on the Roof

Rooftop restaurant Pergola on the Roof is back in town for another summer of food, booze and good vibes. This summer, Pergola will be inspired by The Hamptons, to bring a taste of Long Island living to the heart of west London.

POPS Pop-Up Bar

Cool down from the balmy heat at London’s latest riverside pop-up. POPS bar at The Runnymede on the Thames will be serving up boozy popsicles – Bellini, Frosé and Watermelon Martini pops – alongside fun boat trips and HotTug rides. There’s even an outdoor swimming pool where sun worshippers can take a quick dip.
