All Blue In The Bedroom

Blue was everywhere last year, from moody living rooms to sleek kitchens, but it works particularly well in a bedroom where you can play with shades through texture. Make the headboard the focus in velvet teal and offset with a murkier blue wall – we rate Farrow & Ball’s Stiffkey – metallic touches and hotel-worthy white bedding.

Blue Meets Gold Kitchen

We’re moving away from our love of white gloss kitchens – this year it’s all about the moody blues. When Bree featured Marianne Strong’s gorgeous blue room with metallic finishes, it had us wanting to overhaul our own spaces. If your budget doesn’t stretch to a brand-new kit out, stripping back original wood cupboards, repainting and changing handles to on-trend brass or gold styles is a more affordable option. Pendant lighting and breakfast stools will add atmosphere and practicality.

Styling Your Console Table

If you have the space, invest in a console table for a plucked from the design pages look. We love Bree’s rule of three for interiors accessories – here, she's used a vase, ornament and metallic tray to create interest, and then dressed the console with two luxe lamps for balance.
